Pros: I have no pros for this as I am unable to use it
Cons: This is the wrong connector.
Other Thoughts: The serial cable should be a 9-pin male connector with thumb screws. I got an extension cable that has a 9-pin female connector without thumb screws. Big waste of money. No way I can connect to my router right now.

Pros: Works as advertised. The 6 ft. long cable is nice. FTDI chipset makes it a great tool.
I highly recommend this adapter.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I bought 6 of these for my group here at work - they re used for debugging embedded systems during development. These are used daily, and have performed flawlessly - unlike the Prolific cables we had previously.

Pros: Easy install, works on Window 8.1 64bit. I work on phone systems, routers, switches and other various hardware that still uses archaic serial ports and haven t found a device this won t connect to.
Cons: Haven t found any.
Other Thoughts: I recommend this adapter regularly as it works well, no compatibility issues that I ve come across and well priced.

Pros: It actually works on Win 7 x64 where my former quit working when I went from Win 7 32 bit to 64 bit.
I also stays on the same com port no matter which USB port I plug it into. It s a little thing, but makes my life a little easier.
Cons: haven t found any yet.
Other Thoughts: I had read it would install without even needing the driver disk. I had to use the disk, but that is probably due to my work laptop image blocking the driver update.

Pros: Works with Win8.1 64bit. Plugged it in the HP Envy laptop and within seconds it was ready to go. Tested with a radio controlled by a Windows program and it worked flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: Many cables will work with Win7 but it does not mean that it will work with Win8. This one does work.
